Careers
Become a Microelectronics Professional
Reliable MicroSystems is growing fast and looking for people who want to grow with us. At our core, we believe great talent is developed — we don’t hire experts, we make them. If you’re ready to start building your career in microelectronics, check out the REACH internship program.
REACH Apprenticeship Program
Reliable MicroSystems Electronics Apprenticeship Community Hub (REACH) provides an industry-standard approach to microelectronic workforce development through three targeted programs:

-
High School Apprenticeships
-
College Internships
-
Synergistic Community Support

Working with our industrial base and community partners, we are training the next generation of microelectronic experts.

We invite you to join our program and REACH for the stars.

College Internship Program
Rel-Micro REACH provides an established, vibrant summer internship program for college students. Growing from 1 intern in 2020 to 26 interns in 2025, this program provides on-site, full-time summer microelectronics R&D engagement, with active engineering mentorship, for its participants. Students from a dozen universities, from freshmen to seniors, participate in this program.

In collaboration with our academic and defense industrial base partners in both Indiana and Tennessee, the REACH internship program fosters a fully-immersive experience in microelectronics R&D for students from universities across the U.S.
High School Apprenticeship Program
Rel-Micro REACH continues our successful high-school apprenticeship program through our partnership with the Indiana Regional Opportunity Initiatives (ROI) UpSkill program. Rel-Micro is also expanding our HS apprenticeship efforts into Tennessee through a new strategic partnership with the Vanderbilt University Collaborative for STEM Education and Outreach (CSEO). These partnerships provide Rel-Micro with the opportunity to influence highly talented HS students, continuing the mission of technical workforce development.

Unlike some STEM outreach efforts requiring student recruitment into an unfamiliar program, the Rel-Micro REACH approach meets students where they already thrive, such as technical clubs, hobby groups, science classes, or other activities. In that way, innate S&T interests can be encouraged.
Synergistic Community Support
Rel-Micro provides both Purdue and IU with technical expertise in the classroom; we are a partner in ROI’s Microelectronics High-School Academy; and we support STEM-related activities with our established Tennessee high-school partners through very successful robotics clubs and competitions.

In addition to these established relationships, Rel-Micro has recently expanded our partnerships to support a local semiconductor summer camp developed by Indiana Ivy Tech. Ivy Tech has partnered with the Silicon Crossroads ME Commons Hub and the Applied Research Institute to develop a 15-day semiconductor summer camp experience for high-school students interested in the semiconductor industry. Rel-Micro partners with Ivy Tech in providing access to qualified microelectronics engineers and subject matter experts.
