CEO Lloyd Massengill Awarded for Scientific Achievement at 2026 HEART Conference

Reliable MicroSystems CEO Lloyd Massengill received the Peter H. Haas Award at the 2026 HEART Conference in recognition of his superior achievements in radiation survivability research and technology.

This year marked the 41st annual Hardened Electronics and Radiation Technology Conference, HEART 2026.
HEART is a specialized defense electronics symposium dedicated to the peer-review of the latest advancements in nuclear weapon effects, radiation-hardened electronics, electromagnetic pulse phenomena, and the survivability of hardened systems for space and defense missions.

Peter H. Haas Award
Peter Haas was an innovator in the nuclear weapons effects field beginning in the mid-1950s. He spearheaded landmark experiments on nuclear electromagnetic pulse (EMP) and transient radiation effects on electronics (TREE).
The purpose of this award is to recognize individuals "who have demonstrated outstanding and innovative technical contributions or leadership in the successful development of U.S. hardened military and space systems."
